George Glass Awards

George Glass Award 2007 - In honour and appreciation of the work and outstanding support individuals give to making our organisation what it is today. Daniel, Scott and Steven were all given awards. Stephen was nominated for this award in recognition of the outstanding achievement he has made in ICT Skills. Stephen has severe sight and hearing impairment but refuses to allow his disabilities to prevent him from learning new skills. Our members and Trustees nominate people they think are worthy of receiving this award. Several people recommended Scott after attending a drama group run by Scott, which they found to be very interesting and enjoyable.Daniel was nominated for this award in recognition of his determination in Breaking Down the Barriers with Active Sports.

George Glass Award 2006 - In honour and appreciation of the work and outstanding support individuals give to making our organisation what it is today it was decided that George Glass as our Chairman would make 9 awards for volunteers during 2006. Those receiving the awards were June Jennis - ICT Tutor, Laura Palfreeman - Volunteer, Beth Warren - Volunteer, Scott Newton - Volunteer Website Designer, Kirsty Mussard – Volunteer, Brenda Spooner - Volunteer, Margaret Harrison - Volunteer, Heather Campbell - Volunteer, John Harrison - Volunteer. George and the Trustees of BlindVoice UK thank you all very much for your support, it is deeply appreciated.

George Glass Award 2005 - In honour and appreciation of the work and outstanding support individuals give to making our organisation what it is today. Hazel Johnson - Crazy Cards, Julia Jobling - ICT Tutor, Gail Henegan - Stockton’s Adult Education Service. Receiving the George Glass Award given in appreciation for the outstanding support given by an individual to Stockton Blind People’s Voice.
