Blindvoice Pub Quiz

On 31st March 2010 BlindVoice UK held a pub quiz as a combined social event and fundraiser at the Elm Tree pub in Fairfield, Stockton. The event proved to be a massive success, with 77 tickets being sold, along with many raffle tickets raising vital funds for BlindVoice UK. There were many opportunities to win prizes on the night including 2 raffles, a name the dog competition, a spot prize quiz question, a best team name prize and of course the main quiz. This ensured that very few people left empty handed and added greatly to the enjoyment of the night. The quiz was a huge success and has been described as ‘the social event of the year’ by BlindVoice Secretary Geoff Garnett. The only negative feedback received for the quiz is that another one is not planned in the immediate future!

The event was attended by a group from Darlington Social Club for the Blind and we hope this is the first of many other social events with this group.

We would like to thank everyone for their generosity on the night and a special thanks to those who donated prizes. We raised a fantastic £220 in total and this will help with the running of our key services.
