BlindVoice UK’s Transcription Service meets high standards of quality and customer service. For ease of access we can transcribe all of our publications into a variety of formats upon request.

Photocopying onto large sized paper is not acceptable to the vast majority of people who require large print. Information can become too unwieldy and difficult to handle and it can send out a poor message regarding quality and customer service.

BlindVoice UK recommends and uses a simple, clear and legible Sans Serif style font such as Arial or Tahoma. BlindVoice UK recommends the use of modified large print as the most user-friendly format. Original text is transcribed and reformatted without destroying the original context or content of the document.

We use a standard font size of 20 points in order to meet the needs of as many users as possible. However, BlindVoice UK are flexible enough to be able to meet specific requests if a larger font was preferred.

Visually impaired people now access text using computers. We transcribe documents so that they are compatible with the largest range of test reading and enlarging software as possible.

We can transcribe text to large print from electronic files on disk or CD. We are also able to transcribe from hard copies. If working from hard copy, please note that a typing charge would apply.

All prices are subject to the complexity of the document. All documents need to be seen before the price is confirmed.

Charges are £10.00 per hour for staff time.
