- To improve the availability of information in alternative formats for print disabled people so that they can be involved in decision making processes.
- To promote the well-being of all blind and visually impaired people, achieve equality, and improve their quality of life and help them maintain independence.
- To continue to provide and improve quality services to people with sight loss. This will include education, ICT skills, job seeking skills and participation in social activities.
- To ensure that the voices of visually impaired people are heard when planning services and their opinions sought on key issues affecting their lives.
- To raise public awareness of the issues and problems relating to sight loss.

Our Objectives
- To be proactive in promoting, maintaining and developing the work of BlindVoice UK
- To take a leading role in the community to advance the interests of blind and visually impaired people of all ages.
- To identify through research and consultation, the views and needs of all blind people and use such information effectively.
- To ensure that every contact with BlindVoice UK is a positive experience.
- To enable staff and volunteers to develop quality standards and service targets.
- To proactively seek to influence all partners in relation to the issues of people with sight loss and to encourage working in partnership.
- To convert printed material into alternative formats (Braille, CD, audio cassette, computer disc or large print); whichever is the blind person’s preferred medium.
- To provide computer courses to enable blind and visually impaired people to use computers in an accessible classroom environment to an accredited level
