A Trip to Beningbrough Hall
BlindVoice UK organised an excellent outing for us to Beningbrough Hall.
We arrived earlier than expected but were made welcome with a cup of (excellent) coffee. Next we went to a stable building and were instructed by our hostess on the Hall’s history and given a suggested tour of the house (and laundry a few yards away). We were found by our guides (friends would be a better description).
As my friend (a sighted neighbour) is a diabetic we had the foresight to take our own refreshment, which we enjoyed in the walled garden. So we missed the food served in the café but all said how good the menu and service were.
Our guide, Enid, was a good companion and after my partially sighted friend bought plants (laid out to inspect and purchase) Enid carried them all the rest of the visit.
I look forward to visiting Beningbrough Hall again and possibly later in the season to see the grounds and summer flowers.

Come and join us !
BlindVoice UK is always happy to meet new blind and visually impaired people. Why not come along and join in our social activities, talk to other visually impaired people with a cup of coffee, have a laugh who knows you might even enjoy yourself and want to learn more about what our charity can offer.
SocialEyes meets every 2 weeks on a Wednesday afternoon and Blind Spots our younger people's group meet in during holiday periods.
