Social Eyes At Whitby frontOur Trip to Whitby

Our group decided to have a day trip to Whitby. We all met at Middlesbrough station and got on the train. The day was very bright and warm so we had a lovely ride. Andrew had brought a good quiz book and we all had fun answering the questions, although, we were a bit noisy.

The first thing we did was walk round to Mr Chippy where Jean had booked a meal for us. I had fish and chips, which were very tasty.

When we came out of there, we separated into little groups, and went different ways. Audrey, Hazel and I went for a walk. We went right through the town and finished up on the pier. Here we sat for a while and enjoyed the sunny day. Some of the other groups came along at different times and talked about what they had done. As we all walked back through the town we stopped to watch the bridge open for two tall ships to pass through.

We joined up with everyone at the station and as the train was in we all got on. I think we were all tired coming home, as it was very quiet on the train.

Thanks BlindVoice for another great day out.
